SUNSHINE I WANT SUNSHINE!!!

I am so over all this snowy wet cold weather and ready for the sun to be shining, I know a lot of people love the snow and all the fun activities it brings but not me I love it for December only, I think when I'm an old lady I want to be tan and wrinkly on a beach where the sun is always shining ;) We try and take a fun family vacation every other year in the Spring and this year we decided (well I decided) that we were going to spend a week in Sunny Florida but not at Disney World this time, as much as we loved going to Disneyland we thought we would try and make this trip a little more relaxing with a little less crowd so its all about the beach and water this year we rented a condo for the first part of our trip and are going to visit Discovery Cove and let the big girls do the dolphin swim, then do a couple days at Sea World then off to St. Pete Beach where we are staying and a kid friendly resort they have a 3 story water slide on the beach and a floating water park on the ocean, kid activities every hour on the hour, We are so excited and are counting down the days until we are playing in the sun!!

Jessika

This is my beautiful niece Jessika she is such a blessing to our family
and we are so glad to have her she has taught us so much in the 9 years she
has been here. Let me tell you a little about her, Jess was diagnosed shortly after birth with cerebral palsy, The day she was born was
so exciting for the family she is my brother and sister in laws first baby and the second grandchild on both sides, so we all could not wait to meet her, she was perfect in every way, later that night my brother and sister in law noticed that she was having a hard time feeding and that her little legs were shaking, concerned by this they called the nurse who took her to the nursery and called
the Doc, after many tests they found that she had suffered major strokes 2 in utero and one shortly after birth, the strokes have caused speech impairment and paralysis on the right side of her body. Over the last 9 years she has had several surgeries and has done many standard forms of therapy to help one day give her better function of her body, so that she can walk, talk, play and perform daily tasks we all consider simple. For the last week she has been attending an alternative form of therapy called Now I Can(http://www.nowican.org/) it is an intensive form of physical therapy done 5 days a week 4 hours a day for 3 weeks, Jessika is making BIG strides on day 5 of therapy she took her first steps and stood alone for 3 seconds, she is working so hard towards her goal of walking and we are all so so proud of her she is an amazing girl we want to see her reach her goals. Because this therapy is so costly we have decided to do a garage sell to help raise money to provide here with some maintenance therapy after her 3 week session so she can hopfully reach her goals, if you would like to donate items to be sold please contact me by email at mbwhaw@msn.com I am hoping to have all donations priced and organized and ready to go by the 18th. We are planning the garage sell for Saturday August 21st from 8:00 - 2:00
